laughs.. smiles.. and tears..

Jake turned 19

WOW! Really? My cute little baby boy turned 19 this
year. What a sweetheart he is.. (when he is not teasing
everyone in site). Jake is seriously the nicest boy you
will ever meet.. he would do anything for anyone.
Paula (his 2nd mom) invited us down to have Jakes
favorite homemade chicken chow mein..
She is so good to us! Thanks Paula!!

a windy day in paradise...

I thought that this was so cute of Sophi.. She

loves to let the wind blow through her fur.

Whenever she has a chance to hang her head

out the car window she will. This particular

day the wind was blowing so hard I thought

it would pick her up and toss her..

all 5 pounds of her!!

getting to know myself.. again

SO.... It has been forever since I updated the family blog. Lots has been going on and I have taken lots of pictures so get ready to be bombarded..

I have really taken the summer to start focusing on me again. I asked Bret.. what did I use to like to do..? It seems like being a mom has taken over and I don't know who I am anymore. I know there are are things I use to do that defined me and my personality and I have been introducing them back into my life again. One thing I have done was to work on my body.. I went to a medical weight loss clinic in Ogden. They weighed and measured me.. took my body fat and did some blood work. After finding out that my body is insulin resistant they put me on a high protein low carb diet and added metformin to help use up the extra insulin I produce. I am HAPPY to announce that I have lost 35 pounds! I still have about 25 more that I would like to lose.. but I am feeling great! I am posting my pictures of "before" and "now".

a weekend home...

I had the best weekend home! Jordan was
taking a dance workshop in Salt Lake with
my bffe since kindergarten.. Tammy. While
she was off dancing, mom and dad gave me
my birthday money.. so we decided to go get
pedicures.. It was awesome!


Then we wernt to El Matador for lunch...


I got to go see my good friend Jen McQueen...

then went to see Jordan dance...

When we got back to moms.. Brittney and

Emily were there with their cute kids. We

just sat around and got to visit and build

with grandmas building blocks...

It was so fun to see friends that I havn't seen

in such a long time. GOOD TIMES!!

Bridger decided to wrestle this year. It has been
so good for him. He has grown up so much and
has given him a drive that we have never seen
before.. He took 3rd in State for his weight..
WE ARE SO PROUD!

I have to admit that we are all glad the season

is over.. but are looking forward to next year. :)
