Jakes best friend Jake Eliason had his farewell
on Sunday. He did such a great job speaking and
had us all in tears. Jake is headed to Alaska.. he
must be living right because there couldn't be
a more perfect place for him to go! Good Luck
Jake! You will be an awesome missionary...

ThAnKsGiViNg 2008

Thanksgiving was very quiet this year. We
spent it down in North Salt Lake at my dad
and moms. It was really nice.. the food was
great! Mom always makes us go around the
table and say what we are thankful for. After
dinner we played a game and then we all took
a nap! It was great being home and spending
time with my parents.. I am so thankful for
them and for teaching me great values.. they
have always been there for me.. THANKS!!

huntin pheasants...

Bret and Bridger went pheasant hunting with
the dogs. They weren't gone long because there
wasn't much out there.. but they looked good!

my new obsession...

So... With the economy so scary, Bret and I have
been trying to pay things off and be a little more
careful with our money. I am officially a crazy
coupon cutter! On sunday, I cut out my coupons,
check the stores weekly sales, and make a shopping
list. The coupons are great and save me money,
but when I use them with a sale it is awesome!
The best was when Bret went with me and the
total came to $375.00. I know he was sweating
bullets! I gave the cashier my coupons and after
she got through them all I paid $140.00. You
should have seen the smile on Brets face! He was
so proud of me! Now I only buy what is on sale and
I actually have a food storage! SO MUCH FUN!
Don't be surprised if you get a christmas gift from
one of my great sales! haha...

Halloween has always been a big night for us..
but this year was very differant. The kids got
dressed up and left for parties.. and we were
left with a quiet house.

our lil church goers...

Jordan and Taylor.. before church.
GOOD JOB YOU TWO!

Addiction to scrappin...

So.. the guys went camping for the hunt and
that always gives me the ticket to have a girls
night and scrapbook. Katijo, Cadice and Monica
came out.. We had so much fun talking, laughing
and eating yummy stuff! I only got two pages
done.. I think I talked too much. Katijo and I
stayed up til one thirty am... such troopers!

October fun...

My niece Emily and her cute cute kids, Preslee
and Cash, came to stay with us this weekend.
We had so many things planned. We did alot
of scrapbooking while Jordan and Taylor took
the kids to the Historical Farm. All of the guys
were up deer hunting..no pictures of them
because I had the camera.. ;)

We decorated halloween sugar cookies and carved
pumpkins.. I think by the end of the weekend we
were all exhausted..but we loved having them!
Come again soon!

Homecoming 2008

Jordan and her girlfriends dressed up for
their powder puff game at Mt Crest. The
Srs vs Jrs.. Srs won! Go Jord!!!

Bunko @ Bear Lake

My Bunko Group spent the night at Rose Maries
cabin in Bear Lake. It was so much fun to get away
and have a girls weekend.. We played games, laughed
so hard, and ended the trip with a raspberry shake at
Labeaus... YUM! Thanks for having us Rose Marie!

Huntin Season...

The hunting season started really early
for us! Jake drew out on a bull elk bow
hunt for north cache... guess it is a rare
hunt to draw out on. He was so excited!
Bret and Jake are camped up Logan
Canyon and head up every weekend. I
usually stay home with Bridger and Jord..
which has been very nice!!

Jordans 17th birthday...

Jordan celebrated her 17th birthday with her
girlfriends. They went to chilis for dinner and
then to see 'House Bunny'. She is so fortunate
to have such great friends... They are all so
much fun to be around! Makes me want to be
young again!!

BaCk To ScHoOl...

The summer has flown by so fast. I can't
even believe that school started today! I
really wasn't ready this year because
the kids are gone alot, and when they are
home, they are lots of help. Bridger has
grown up so much summer.. both mentally
and physically! He is so funny! Jordan is
just the same.. tons of fun to be around!
Jake was happy that he didn't have to go
back.. all though he does miss the social
life. He is working at CV Electric.

Abel Family Reunion!

This was our first annual Joe Shannon Abel
reunion. Tiffany was the lucky one to organize
the kick off! It was so much fun.. She did a
pirate theme. There was great food, a treasure
hunt, homemade ice cream, swimming and
lots of chatting.. can you imagine? Thanks to
mom and dad for giving me such a great family
to be a part of! I LOVE YOU BOTH!!

Jake turns 18

Jake turned 18 on July 23.. CRAZY! Bret
cooked pizza in the smoker.. turned out
yummy! We finished off the night with
an apple pie ala mode... Jakes favorite!
