santa stopped here!

Christmas morning lasted forever... just the way
I wanted it! It started out with each of the kids
playing deal or no deal. It was such a hit! They
all made out pretty good. We opened presents..
watched a dvd that Jordan made us.. laughed..
cried.. had a fabulous breakfast.. ate at my new
kitchen table.. and played board games. We
loved just spending time together! I am feeling
extremely blessed and so grateful for everything!

a christmas present...

I just had to show you what Bret made
me this year for Christmas..

It was really funny because in his family, we
draw names. So I new he was building a table
but he said that he had Trudys name. I was
pretty jealous.. he knew I wanted a tall table!
I was so surprised when he said it was for me.
I totally cried like a baby! Jake ended up
giving us the stools! I LOVE IT!!!
So nice to have such a talented husband!!

Farewell to Jake E

Jakes best friend Jake Eliason had his farewell
on Sunday. He did such a great job speaking and
had us all in tears. Jake is headed to Alaska.. he
must be living right because there couldn't be
a more perfect place for him to go! Good Luck
Jake! You will be an awesome missionary...

ThAnKsGiViNg 2008

Thanksgiving was very quiet this year. We
spent it down in North Salt Lake at my dad
and moms. It was really nice.. the food was
great! Mom always makes us go around the
table and say what we are thankful for. After
dinner we played a game and then we all took
a nap! It was great being home and spending
time with my parents.. I am so thankful for
them and for teaching me great values.. they
have always been there for me.. THANKS!!

huntin pheasants...

Bret and Bridger went pheasant hunting with
the dogs. They weren't gone long because there
wasn't much out there.. but they looked good!

my new obsession...

So... With the economy so scary, Bret and I have
been trying to pay things off and be a little more
careful with our money. I am officially a crazy
coupon cutter! On sunday, I cut out my coupons,
check the stores weekly sales, and make a shopping
list. The coupons are great and save me money,
but when I use them with a sale it is awesome!
The best was when Bret went with me and the
total came to $375.00. I know he was sweating
bullets! I gave the cashier my coupons and after
she got through them all I paid $140.00. You
should have seen the smile on Brets face! He was
so proud of me! Now I only buy what is on sale and
I actually have a food storage! SO MUCH FUN!
Don't be surprised if you get a christmas gift from
one of my great sales! haha...

Halloween has always been a big night for us..
but this year was very differant. The kids got
dressed up and left for parties.. and we were
left with a quiet house.
