Jordans 17th birthday...

Jordan celebrated her 17th birthday with her
girlfriends. They went to chilis for dinner and
then to see 'House Bunny'. She is so fortunate
to have such great friends... They are all so
much fun to be around! Makes me want to be
young again!!

BaCk To ScHoOl...

The summer has flown by so fast. I can't
even believe that school started today! I
really wasn't ready this year because
the kids are gone alot, and when they are
home, they are lots of help. Bridger has
grown up so much summer.. both mentally
and physically! He is so funny! Jordan is
just the same.. tons of fun to be around!
Jake was happy that he didn't have to go
back.. all though he does miss the social
life. He is working at CV Electric.

Abel Family Reunion!

This was our first annual Joe Shannon Abel
reunion. Tiffany was the lucky one to organize
the kick off! It was so much fun.. She did a
pirate theme. There was great food, a treasure
hunt, homemade ice cream, swimming and
lots of chatting.. can you imagine? Thanks to
mom and dad for giving me such a great family
to be a part of! I LOVE YOU BOTH!!

Jake turns 18

Jake turned 18 on July 23.. CRAZY! Bret

an apple pie ala mode... Jakes favorite!

Bret built a smoker in our back yard.. It is his new love! We invited some friends over for some brisket and ribs, dutch oven potatoes and lots of laughs!

4th of July Week...

We spent the 4th of July up Blacksmith Fork. It was a perfect weekend.. the only thing missing was Jake and Jordan. Jake went camping up Logan with his friends and Jordan went to Bear Lake with hers. Bridger loved having all of our attention on him. We spent most of the time on our ATVs.



We stopped at this old mine.. it is called mineral point. They use to mine silver and iron. It was so cool, but I couldn't talk myself into going in... I just looked for treasures outside.

It was sooo HOT! So the kids were excited to run into a pond... literally!!!

On the way back to camp, Bret had a relapse into his younger years and tried to burn out as we turned into our campsite... We ended up rolling our atv and I ended up smacking my shoulder on the pavement. Everything turned out ok.. I tore my rotater cuff, got some great road rash and had a little panic attack. Bret feels so bad and has been at my beck and call ever since ;)

PS.. Bret said we wouldn't have rolled if my pocket hadn't been full of rocks that I picked up at the mine.. oops!

GrAdUaTiOn 2008

We had a little family dinner party before the
graduation ceremony. It was fun to have our
parents here. They are always so good to
support us!

WOW!! I can't believe that my baby Jake is graduated! It seems like yesterday I held a brand new baby boy in my arms. He was the light of his mommy and daddys eyes! Jake has always had such a cute personality. He is the most tender heart and seems a little shy at times. I love to hear him laugh.. it is so contagious! Sometimes I will be upstairs and hear his laugh and I have to giggle. Bret and I are so PROUD of him and feel so blessed to have him for our son.

Jake: Shoot for the moon, cuz even if you miss you will land in the stars!!
